Important Announcement - Deliveroo in Hong Kong

It is with regret that I write to you today to inform you that, following careful consideration of all options, Deliveroo has taken the difficult decision to end our operations in Hong Kong as of 7 April 2025. 

This has not been an easy decision. Our aim at Deliveroo is to provide great value service to our customers and partners, as well as access to flexible work with attractive fees for our riders. We're proud to have achieved this over the last nine years in Hong Kong and that, together, we have delivered so many amazing meals to consumers.

However, there are several factors specific to the food delivery market in Hong Kong which led us to consider Deliveroo's future. As a result, we have unfortunately decided that the best option is to end our operations in Hong Kong.

Our last day for the platform accepting orders will be 7 April. Deliveroo Hong Kong has nominated liquidators, Cosimo Borrelli and Jocelyn Chi of Kroll, to manage the closure of the Hong Kong business and its assets in the most efficient way possible. What this means for you

You can continue to go online and deliver orders until 14:59 on 7 April, and you will be paid fees for all deliveries completed until then

Fee days and payments

Last week's fees will be paid as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 11 March)

After that fees will continue to be paid each Tuesday, with the final fee day on 15 April, and all outstanding fees and incentives will be paid on that day. Unfortunately, cash out is no longer available.

We understand this is difficult news, and we're committed to ensuring riders are supported during this period. As part of this process we have entered into a deal with foodpanda. To find out more, please see the rider website.

I'm very proud of what we've achieved together in the last nine years. I want to sincerely thank you for all your hard work bringing Hong Kong's unbeatable food culture into the homes of our customers. It has been a great pleasure to work with you and we thank you for all your hard work.
